Man in his 20s dies in Co Kerry crash

An investigation is under way following a fatal single-vehicle crash in Co Kerry in which a man was killed.  

Around 9.45pm the 24-year-old man was fatally injured when the car he was driving left the road and hit a wall on the N69 Tralee-Listowel Road at Glenballyma, Kilflynn in Tralee.

He was pronounced dead at scene and his body has been removed to Kerry General Hospital, where a post mortem is to be arranged.

The man was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The road was closed for a period of time but has since reopened and the scene remains preserved.
