Two attempted hijackings, an assault and a theft from a person are being investigated by gardaí in Lucan in Dublin.
A series of incidents last night in the Castle Riada Drive area left four people in hospital.
Two young males were later arrested on Castle Road in Lucan.
One garda, injured during the course of the arrest, was one of those treated in hospital.
The two arrested are being held at Lucan Garda Station.
Witnesses who saw anything in the area between 9.30pm and 10.20pm last night are asked to contact gardaí in Lucan on 01-6667300.
