Monday 18 August 2014 11.25 A 25-year-old man has died in a single-vehicle crash in Co Limerick.
The crash happened at Ballyphillip, Banogue, on the N20 at around 11.50pm yesterday.
The man was fatally injured when the car he was driving hit a pole.
He was taken to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital in Limerick where a post-mortem examination will take place.
The road is currently closed to facilitate garda forensic collision investigators and local diversions are in place.
Investigating gardaí are appealing to witnesses to contact them at Newcastle West Garda Station on 069-20650, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111 or any garda station.
