A 31-year-old Irishman extradited to Australia over a road crash in which two people were killed has been sentenced to nearly three years in jail.
Eamonn Driver from Slane in Co Meath was driving a car that collided with another vehicle near Perth in western Australia in October 2007.
Two passengers, 20-year-old Colm Reilly and 22-year-old Kiara Duncan, both from Co Meath, died in the crash.
Driver pleaded guilty to two counts of dangerous driving causing death.
In court today, he was sentenced to two years and 50 weeks in prison.
Driver will be eligible for parole after serving half his sentence.
