Security guard injured in cash-in-transit robbery

Gardaí are investigating a cash-in-transit robbery in Blanchardstown in Dublin this afternoon.

A security man was struck over the head while making a delivery to an ATM in the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre at around 1.20pm.

Two men stole the cash box and escaped in a black BMW.

The security man was taken to Connolly Hospital, but his injuries are not said to be serious.
