A 43-year-old man has been killed in a road crash in Co Monaghan.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the single vehicle collision, which took place around 1.55am at Crowey, Silverstream.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene when the car in which he was a passenger collided with a ditch.
His body was removed to Monaghan General Hospital where a post mortem examination will be carried out.
The driver of the car, a 40-year old woman, was taken to Cavan General hospital with minor injuries.
A second woman travelling in the car was uninjured.
The road is closed for a technical examination and diversions are in place.
