A meeting of the shop stewards will take place on Monday.
A spokesman has said there are outstanding issues with the Aer Lingus position.
He said the threat of industrial action still stands.
Yesterday, ICTU and the employers' group IBEC proposed that unions withdraw notice of industrial action.
They also presented a five-point plan involving the Labour Relations Commission and the Labour Court.
The statement was welcomed by the IMPACT trade union.
Aer Lingus confirmed that it would participate in the structure of engagement proposed by IBEC and ICTU on a voluntary basis.
The dispute centres on a €750m deficit in the Aer Lingus/Dublin Airport Authority pension scheme.
In a statement released this afternoon the airline said: "Aer Lingus stands firmly over its statement of yesterday that the company remains focused on achieving a fair outcome that improves the pension prospects of affected members of IASS in a way that will balance the interests of all parties, including Aer Lingus employees and shareholders.
"Aer Lingus is seeking employment cost stability over the coming years and any new arrangements put in place by the company to improve the pension prospects of affected members of IASS will therefore be linked to the strength of the commitment to stabilise employment costs."
