Murder inquiry into Tipperary gun attack

A murder investigation is under way into the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old man in the village of Golden, in Co Tipperary.

The victim, who had been convicted of drug dealing, was from Tipperary.

It is understood a number of men went to a house in the village of Golden at around 6.45am and fired several shots at two men who were inside.

The scene has been sealed off and the State Pathologist's Office has been informed.

Gardaí have appealed to anyone with information to contact them at Tipperary town on 062-80670, the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111 or any Garda Station.
