Around 10,000 people took part in a major clean-up campaign in Limerick.
The Good Friday clean-up was aimed at bringing communities together to make Limerick a cleaner and better place.
Volunteers included Ireland and Munster rugby player Paul O'Connell, businessman JP McManus - who sponsored the clean-up - and monks from Glenstal Abbey who are out in boats cleaning the banks of the river Shannon.
They were joined across the city and county by schools, businesses, charities and sporting groups.
O'Connell said the event highlights the importance of looking after your community and taking pride in your area.
Volunteers were provided with clean-up packs containing gloves, hi-vis jackets, litter pickers and bin bags.
Team Limerick Clean-up (TLC) said every town in the county took part and the biggest turnout in Murroe with 700 volunteers and Corbally where more than 500 people took part.
An estimated 40,000 bags of litter is expected to have been collected.
Mr McManus described as a great day for the people of Limerick and the campaign was overwhelmed by the "incredible number of people who signed up to be part of TLC.
