A post-mortem examination is due to take place later today on the body of Anne Shortall, who was found dead in Co Wicklow yesterday.
The 47-year-old had been missing since last Friday and her body was discovered in a shed in Killoughter, near Ashford by gardaí investigating her disappearance.
The scene has been preserved for a full technical examination.
The post-mortem examination will be carried out at St Columcille's Hospital in Loughlinstown.
A candlelight vigil is to be held in Wicklow town this evening to remember the mother of three.
A 38-year-old man, who was arrested yesterday, remains in custody at Wicklow Garda Station. He can be held for up to 24 hours.
Gardaí say they are also investigating a second scene in Wicklow town.
They are asking anyone with information that may be of assistance in the investigation to contact Wicklow Garda Station on 0404-60140.
