Four men arrested in the Stoneybatter area of Dublin yesterday have appeared in court charged with possession of articles in contravention of Section 15, theft and fraud of the Criminal Justice Act 2001.
Gary Ledden of 21 Oriel Street, Dublin 1, said "they're not mine" when charged.
Derek Duffy, a taxi driver with no address, Gary Murphy of Church Road, Eastwall, and Gerard Black of Killarney Court, Dublin 1, all made no reply when charged.
All four were given bail on their own sureties of €250 on condition they signed on at a designated garda station three times a week, obeyed a curfew from midnight to 7am and did not associate with their co-accused.
The four were arrested when gardaí stopped and searched two cars on Harold Road in Stoneybatter at 10.30am yesterday.
Judge Patrick Clyne remanded the four on bail to appear in court on 11 May.
