A murder investigation is under way in Northern Ireland after a man in his 60s was stabbed near Randalstown in Co Antrim.
It is understood that the victim was attacked as he drove home from his business premises.
The crime, the second murder in the Co Antrim area this week, happened late last night.
Early indications are that the victim was the owner of a Chinese takeaway.
He had closed his premises and was driving towards Ballymena with a family member when their vehicle was intercepted on the Caddy Road, near Randalstown.
One theory is that robbery was the motive.
The man and his female passenger were both assaulted.
The woman, who is her 50s, was brought to hospital, but her injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
The PSNI has appealed to anyone with information to contact police.
PSNI Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Talbot said this morning: "At this time investigations are at an early stage but I am treating this as murder.
"I appeal to anyone who noticed any suspicious vehicles or activity in the Caddy Road area at around midnight to contact CID."
