Body of woman missing from Lucan hospital found

The body of 61-year-old Dublin woman missing for five days has been found.

Marian Power was last seen on Monday morning leaving St Edmundsbury Hospital in Lucan.

More than 160 civilian volunteers had joined 110 members of the Civil Defence and gardaí to search for Ms Power around the extensive hospital grounds.

The Garda water unit made the discovery shortly after lunch this afternoon. 

The body is being taken to Blanchardstown hospital.
