Two companies have said they will create more than 500 jobs in Dublin and Limerick over the next three years.
Irish company Car Trawler said it would create 400 jobs in Dublin over the next three years.
The company, based in Dundrum, is a global car rental booking engine.
The roles advertised include senior positions in engineering, finance, data science, as well as sales and customer operations.
The company also has offices in Boston and London and provides services in 174 countries.
It is supported through the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Employment through Enterprise Ireland.
Elsewhere, a Canadian company has said it is establishing a European base in Limerick, which will lead to the creation of 140 jobs over the next five years.
Optel Vision develops and installs specialist inspection systems for packaging lines, mainly for the pharmaceutical and medical devices industries, to check the right products are being placed in the correct packages.
It is to establish a new manufacturing and operations centre at Raheen Business Park to build up and service its customers in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
The company has a presence in 15 countries globally and this is its first expansion outside North America.
The expansion means it will require engineers, technicians, customer support and administrative personnel.
The company plans to begin recruiting immediately.
The expansion is also supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.
Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton said manufacturing is an area targeted for jobs growth, as it offers the potential for employment across the country.
Separately, financial services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers has said it will create over 800 jobs in Northern Ireland by 2019.
The announcement was made at a news conference in Belfast by Stormont's first and deputy first ministers, Peter Robinson and Martin McGuinness.
