More than 470 jobs are to be created by a medical diagnostics company in Dungloe, Co Donegal between now and 2020.
Randox Teoranta currently employs 66 people in Dungloe, but an investment of €25m over the next six years will see its workforce increase to 540.
The company is involved in blood science diagnostics and currently has a focus on developing and improving tests for common diseases such as Alzheimer's.
It said this new investment will help it achieve its goals.
The company will be taking on scientists, engineers, highly-skilled manufacturing staff and support staff.
Dr Ciaran Richardson, head of R&D at the Dungloe plant, said that he is confident the company will find the people to fill these roles.
However, he said it will need the support of the community to get the message out that there are highly-skilled jobs available in Donegal.
Speaking on RTÉ's News at One, Dr Richardson said a variety of new jobs would be created.
"We want to have 180 scientists and engineers employed here; 270 highly-skilled manufacturing jobs will also be created and we'll also have 90 support jobs in areas such as marketing, sales, office work etc, so we're looking to expand by the end of next year to reach maybe 130 and to keep expanding beyond that."
Dr Richardson said they are trying to get the message out to the diaspora to make them aware that there are high quality jobs available and to encourage people within Ireland to relocate to Dungloe.
Representatives of the GAA, school principals and other organisations were invited to the announcement and asked to help get the message to school children and graduates who may have emigrated.
Anna Ní Ghallachair, Chairperson of Údarás na Gaeltachta, which has supported the company since it was established in the area in 2008, said the investment provides significant opportunities to the Gaeltacht labour force.
She said in the future it would give Gaeltacht graduates living in other parts of the country and abroad the opportunity to return.
