RTÉ has confirmed it is cooperating with a garda investigation into allegations about phone calls made from its Montrose campus in Dublin.
An article in the Irish Independent reports that phone calls were made to a "high profile businesswoman" and they were "creepy and menacing."
RTÉ has said an internal inquiry had been conducted into the matter.
It says the individual concerned was not a member of staff but someone who was employed on a casual basis.
The spokesperson said the details of the internal investigation were confidential.
The alleged phone calls did not come from the newsroom as reported but from a general phone number on the campus.
The spokesperson added that the incident did not require a review of security.
