Labour Party deputy leader Alan Kelly has said Joan Burton, has sent a document to Taoiseach Enda Kenny outlining the priorities that Labour wants to see refocused in Government.
Speaking on RTÉ's This Week, Deputy Kelly said the Taoiseach and Tánaiste will discuss those proposed priorities at a meeting tomorrow.
They are due to discuss the line up of the new Cabinet.
Deputy Kelly said the Government needed to focus on getting something back to workers.
He also said he was determined to reorganise the Labour Party and would take ownership of that role.
He said the party had lessons to learn from its poor results in local and European elections, and that it had failed to emphasise enough what had been delivered for Ireland.
Meanwhile, the Minister for Jobs Enterprise and Innovation has said he would like to stay in his department in the upcoming cabinet reshuffle.
Speaking on RTÉ's Week in Politics, Richard Bruton said he still has a lot of work to do in the portfolio and said he would like to complete it.
