The High Court has granted former chief executive of the Rehab Group Angela Kerins leave to bring Judicial Review proceedings against the Oireachtas Public Accounts Committee and others.
John Rogers, Senior Counsel for Ms Kerins, told the court that his client was seeking an injunction restraining the PAC from further pursuing matters in relation to Ms Kerins' employment as CEO, or her work.
Mr Rogers said his client was seeking an injunction restraining the publication of any report with findings relating to the remuneration or employment of Ms Kerins.
He said the PAC had displayed bias and had acted in an unfair and unlawful manner, straying outside of its remit.
His client is seeking damages and for any and all references to Ms Kerins in the PAC proceedings to be expunged.
Mr Rogers said Ms Kerins suffered a collapse in health in March and lost her job in April.
Mr Justice John Hedigan said matters of grave and profound significance had been raised to allow for leave to seek judicial review.
The proceedings will also be served on the clerk of the Dáil and the PAC and the Chief State Solicitor's Office.
