Saturday 19 April 2014 15.24 Gardaí in Galway have arrested a man after cannabis plants with an estimated street value of €300,000 euro were seized this afternoon.
Gardaí discovered the plants along with two firearms during a search of a house in the Mountbellew area.
A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and is being held at Ballinasloe Garda Station.
The scene is currently preserved pending a garda technical examination.
