Sunday 12 January 2014 14.52 The PSNI has launched an investigation into a fire in Co Down in which a woman was killed.
Detectives say they are treating the blaze as suspicious.
Police were called to the fire in a house at George's Lane near Newry city centre at around 11pm.
Inside the building they found the body of a woman, and following initial inquiries, detectives are treating the blaze as suspicious.
The identity of the dead woman has not yet been released.
There are no further details about the circumstances surrounding the house fire, and the PSNI are appealing for the public's help.
