A 37-year-old woman who is serving a life sentence for the murder of one man has today been jailed for life for the murder of a second man.

Catherine O'Connor, of Bridge House, Sean Hales Place, Bandon admitted murdering John Forrester at the same address in November 2011.

The victim's nephew said the family hoped she would never see the light of day again to be allowed torture another family like she had tortured his family.

O'Connor was convicted earlier this year of the murder of Jonathan Duke.

Mr Duke had been beaten and stabbed before his body was dumped in the River Bandon.

Originally from Blackpool in England, Mr Forrester had been living in Bandon for a number of years.

His body was taken from the River Bandon two days after that of Mr Duke, who had sustained over 100 injuries.
