A woman has died and another woman and a man are in a critical condition in hospital following a road crash at Skibbereen in Co Cork.
They were among six people involved in the single-vehicle crash at a roundabout on the approach to the town at around 1.45am.
The male driver was arrested at the scene but has since also been brought to Cork University Hospital.
The woman who died was in her 20s.
The road is closed pending the completion of an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
