An investigation is being carried out after a cash-in-transit van raid took place at Killiney Shopping Centre just before 10.30am.
The raiders produced a firearm and escaped with one money box when they confronted staff.
The cash-in-transit van was delivering cash to the shopping centre on Rochestown Avenue.
It is not yet known if the firearm was discharged or if anyone was injured.
