Richardson named on defaulters list

Former Fianna Fáil fundraiser Des Richardson has been named on Revenue's tax defaulters list.

Mr Richardson has made a settlement of €108,906 for underdeclaration of income tax and capital gains tax.

Mr Richardson, who is a business consultant, with an address at Serpentine Avenue, Ballsbridge, Dublin, made the settlement following a revenue investigation.

A company used by Mr Richardson has also been named on the list.

Willdover Limited, which is now dissolved, reached a settlement of €141,094 for underdeclaration of VAT, PAYE and PRSI. The company has an address at 50 City Quay, Dublin 2.

In the Planning Tribunal, Mr Richardson confirmed he used the company for invoicing Fianna Fáil for work carried out for the party.
