Three men and one child have died in separate road accidents in Sligo, Dublin and Co Derry.
Two men in their 20s died in a road collision in Co Sligo.
The collision occurred at Sooey, on the Ballyfarnan to Sligo Road at around 11.40pm last night.
It is understood the car the men were travelling in left the road and struck a tree.
The 22-year-old driver and a 20-year-old front seat passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene.
A third man was taken to Sligo General Hospital where he is in a stable condition.
The road is closed for a technical examination.
In another incident a 21-month-old girl was fatally injured when she was struck by a car in Tallaght.
The collision occurred at Ardmore Walk at 5.30pm.
She was taken to Tallaght Hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the car was uninjured.
Separately, Keelan Mullan, 17, from the Drumsurn area of Limavady, Co Derry died following a two vehicle accident Drumsurn Road yesterday.
He died as a result of injuries sustained when his car collided collision with a tractor near the junction with the Cloghan Road at around 10.20am.
