Gardaí are investigating the discovery of the body of a man at a house at Fatima Place, Kilkenny.
The discovery was made on Thursday evening, 7 March at 7pm.
The body of the man in his 40s was removed to Waterford Regional Hospital where a post mortem was carried out by Deputy State Pathology Dr Khalid Jabbar.
The cause of death will not be disclosed for operational reasons, but gardaí are describing the death as suspicious.
They are are appealing to any persons in the area of Fatima Place from Wednesday evening, 6 March, to Thursday evening, 7 March, to contact the incident room at Kilkenny Garda Station on 056 7775000, the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station.
