A 36-year old man has been charged with the murder of mother-of-three Olivia Dunlea at her home in Passage West, Co Cork in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Darren Murphy, with an address at Dan Desmond Villas, Passage West appeared before Cork City Court this afternoon.
Earlier, he made no reply at Togher Garda station to the charge of murdering Ms Dunlea at her home at Pembroke Crescent.
The 36-year-old's body was discovered in an upstairs bedroom following a fire at her home.
A post mortem examination subsequently indicated that she had sustained injuries prior to the fire.
Mr Murphy was remanded in custody to appear in court again on Thursday.
An application for free legal aid was granted by Judge Leo Malone, after solicitor Emmett Boyle said his client was not working.
