A teenager has been sentenced to life in prison for stabbing another teenager to death in Dublin two years ago.
David Byrne died from multiple stab wounds on 19 March, 2011, after being chased into the car park of Emmet Court, Inchicore.
Marcus Kirwan, 19, of Cooley Road, Drimnagh, had pleaded not guilty to the murder of Mr Byrne, who had lived at Davitt House, also in Drimnagh.
Mr Byrne sustained nine stab wounds; one to the face and eight to his back.
His heart and lungs were punctured and one of the fatal wounds was 20cm deep.
The prosecution said Kirwan "lured" his victim into a fatal "ambush" by sending text messages pretending to be a girl.
It said Kirwan was the person seen in CCTV footage chasing the victim into the dead end where he was stabbed.
The defence had argued that even if Kirwan was at Emmet Court, there was no evidence that he had stabbed Mr Byrne.
