The Being Young and Irish Report, which captures the views and offers the vision of almost 800 young people, was produced by DIT researchers for President Michael D Higgins.
The process began six months ago with people aged between 17 and 26 being asked to contribute their views by emailing or posting contributions, or by attending one of four regional workshops hosted by President Higgins.
Today 100 young people are finalising their "Take Charge of Change" declaration at Áras an Uachtaráin, which gives their vision for Ireland and what needs to happen to achieve it.
They will present this declaration to an audience of Government representatives this afternoon. The event will be shown live on RTÉ News Now.
President Higgins will respond to that declaration and will invite Minister for Children and Youth Affairs Frances Fitzgerald to do the same.
