If the MPs approve the 2013 budget, the Greek coalition government hopes it will clear the way for the speedy release of the latest block of bailout funds from the European Union and International Monetary Fund.
Greek private and public sector union members are due to rally outside the Greek Parliament this afternoon in protest at the new austerity measures.
Last Wednesday, a slender three-MP majority ensured that the €13bn in tax hikes and spending cuts became law - and today's vote will effectively formalise that decision.
Greek Prime Minister Antonis Samaras hopes an affirmative vote will quickly result in the next bailout instalment being released to Athens.
However, it may not be that simple. While eurozone finance ministers will gather in Brussels tomorrow to consider the Greek situation, the influential German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble has said a decision on releasing the funds is unlikely.
