Eurozone finance ministers to review Greek bailout

Written By Unknown on Senin, 12 November 2012 | 22.40

Greek MPs voted through a new round of austerity measures by just three votes last week.

However, the required changes to the 2013 budget were approved last night by a majority of 167 votes to 128.

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras courted controversy when he quoted Lenin during his speech to parliament - to the palpable anger of the leftist opposition.

Mr Samaras also claimed that without the next €31 billion of bailout funds, Greece will start running out of money on Friday.

There is no guarantee the government in Athens will receive the money quickly.

German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble has said that a quick release of funds is "unlikely".

He told a German newspaper that the Greeks were responsible for any financing difficulties as "all those concerned have known the deadlines for a long time".
