The boy, who was 15 at the time of the offence and cannot be identified for legal reasons, pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court to raping the girl in a bedroom on 5 March 2011.
He has no previous convictions.
Mr Justice Paul Carney said the offence was rape and the Children's Act could not prevent him imposing a custodial sentence.
However, he did note that both teenagers were very drunk at the time and that there was a lack of adult supervision.
