The incident occurred at around 6am this morning on the southbound side of Junction 7 on the M3.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
Gardaí have asked for anyone with information on the incident to contact Navan Garda Station on 046-9036100, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111, or any garda station.
