The West Cork SOS group represents communities on seven inhabited islands, three peninsulas and the main towns in west Cork.
It undertook the 85km journey to raise awareness of concerns about proposals to change from an on-call ambulance service to an on-duty system for paramedics.
The group said the change will mean the loss of one of the region's four ambulances.
The stretcher push was joined by a number of supporters who travelled from west Cork for the final leg.
A letter was handed in at the hospital for the attention of the Health Service Executive, which has promised more public consultation before any changes are introduced.
