Arrest made over Ardoyne bomb discovery

The horizontal style mortar device was found at the back of a house on Jamaica Street in Ardoyne.

The man was arrested yesterday by detectives from the PSNI's Serious Crime Branch.

More than 30 houses had to be evacuated during Thursday's security alert.

Police said they believed the device was "intended to kill" and that the target may have been police officers.
